Our Home Paradise was Devastated by Super Typhoon Odette. The aftermath of Super Typhoon Odette!

We are natives from Dinagat Island who currently live outside the island. We saw and felt our community's sadness as Super Typhoon Odette devastated our home paradise, Barangay Pto.Princesa, Basilisa, Province of Dinagat Island, popularly known as Barangay San Roque. Our hearts are crumbling upon seeing how our home paradise was levelled to the ground by Super Typhoon Odette.

Our paradise is severely devastated; most of the houses are swiftly drifted by the strong wind and storm surge, leaving a significant number of families homeless. While some families are picking up pieces of their damaged houses, hoping to rebuild their homes before Christmas. A heartbreaking scene to watch in a beautiful paradise-like San Roque. San Roque is home to fishermen, but sadly, most have lost their homes and fishing boats and fishing gear.

They would want to go back to their primary source of living - fishing! They need help to rebuild their homes and their livelihood again. So we are knocking at your kind hearts to please help our hometown Barangay Pto. Princesa, Basilisa, Dinagat Islands.
