BREAST CANCER NIGHTMARE-DIAGNOSED FOR THE THIRD TIME

My wife, Sherrie Shown, has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer for the third time. Her greatest passion is fighting for humane treatment for all animals, great or small. This disease is preventing her from doing this. We have just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. The first time she was diagnosed with breast cancer was two months after we married, in 1999. We did what we had to do to get through it and then it came back for the second time one year later. This was followed by more surgeries, chemo and radiation. She never quit trying to work, but when she was too weak and burned to get dressed, she finally had to stay home. With all the bills piling up, it was a very difficult time. Now, 13 years later it has cursed her once again. This time she will be out of work for at least 10 months. She has now lost her remaining breast to this terrible diease. She is a lot older than the last time, and has other medical problems, including Rhumatoid Arthritis. There is no way she could work through this round of surgeries, chemo and radiation. We have always picked ourselves up, brushed ourselves off and started all over again. This time, I do not see us being able to do that. Each time we have had a little nest egg, cancer has taken it away from us. We are both in our 60's and we are both disabled.
