Offering breakfasts to kids and abandoned elders in Peru every Saturday – US

Thank you for looking at our campaign.

In our first campaign we brought 200 breakfasts to kids and abondoned elders.

This time we want to make it permanent and offer 80 breakfasts every Saturday.

In short: 1. the idea, 2. the place, 3. who we are and why we are doing this

Firstly the idea:

We will bring breakfasts to 80 kids and abandoned elders during every Saturday, starting from the 2nd week of November 2020.

The kids live with their low-incomes families for which ensuring having a daily breakfast is always a day to day challenge.

The abandoned elders live thanks to the charity of these low-incomes families.

Where will this happen?

We will go to the district of Pachacamac in the south of Lima. We have contacted with a community leader (M. Hurtado) who offered us to use the communal premises for the distribution of the breakfasts.

For all the people supporting this project we will:

• Organize Facebook watch parties/live so that you can see in real team when we are delivering the breakfasts
• We will post photos and videos of the events on our Facebook Page
• We will organize personalized thank you videos so that you can show to your friends, families and children to create awareness about the situation of this people and the happiness you give to them by offering a breakfasts

The breakfast will include:

• Fruits: Bananas and apples
• Bread or cakes
• Milk

Who are we and why are we doing this?

We are Jose and Luis. We are two friends. We have been working since 2001, hosting international students during their time in Peru. In 2008, we had the opportunity to organize events to go to bring breakfasts to low-income families in Lima. That experience was for us a life-moving experience.

As there is no more international students due the COVID, we have decided to make of this situation and opportunity to dedicate our energy and time to do what we did in the pasts: offer breakfasts to people that need it.

We have created "Desayunos para niños" (Breakfast to kids) few months ago with the aim of connecting people from all over the world willing offer breakfasts and people (mostly kids) that need those breakfasts.
