Campaign Story
Hello. Good day!
This campaign is to raise funds for my boyfriend’s kidney transplant. He is 28 years old,he was diagnosed with end stage renal failure, last April 3, 2018. He was an OFW, working here in Singapore before he was diagnosed. He did not show symptoms about his disease, until during the end of March this year when he was vomiting on and off, he is getting pale and he feels weak. After a few visit to the doctor, it was then when his blood pressure shoot up and we were asked to go to emergency department immediately. Blood test and urine test was done, and the results showed that he has a damaged kidney. His creatinine level, a waste product of the body, is 20x higher than normal. His count is 2,120, while the acceptable range is 60-105. Urgent dialysis was done upon confinement. After a few days of being admitted in Tan Tock Seng hospital, the doctors explained to us that he will be needing a long term dialysis and since we are foreigners here in Singapore, financial matter is a concern. The dialysis here in Singapore is very costly so we need to send him back to Philippines to continue his treatment. At present, he goes to the hospital in our hometown in Batangas for his dialysis. He requires 3x a week session.
The only way that he will be able to stop his dialysis treatment is to undergo a kidney transplant. He has a kind-hearted friend who volunteered to be his kidney donor, thankfully they are a match. We are almost there! I am sincerely asking for your help in raising fund so we can proceed with the kidney transplant. This procedure will really help him to continue his life and live as he used to.
Thank you so much for sharing
God bless you.
