This campaign is regarding our classmate Ms. Harsha Prakash(23/F), She is basically from INDIA. She is studying in Seneca college in Canada. Last Monday 30th Oct, she suddenly felt partial blindness and she was diagnosed with bilateral pappiledema, which was actually caused by increased intracranial pressure. So right away The physician advised her to go for a MRI scan for the further analysis.
Since she is an international student and unfortunately the insurance was expired the medical expense won’t be affordable . Due to that we sent her to her native country India. after further analysis, it was decided to perform Ventriculo Peritoneal shunt surgical procedure and it is scheduled for 5th Nov at SIMS hospital, Chennai. And the estimated cost for the procedure is around 10000 CAD (5,00,000 INR). It’s an emergency situation and her family is not financially sound to pay for the medical bills. And also we can’t wait for the money as it can result in permanent blindness.
We friends have been trying to raise a fund for her cause. Even if it’s a small amount, it can make a big difference to her life.
