Christmas Appeal

We are a group of MSc students at the University of Liverpool. As overseas students, we feel it is important to contribute to the community in which we currently live. We are supporting the KIND charity with a crowdfunding project to make a difference in the lives of thousands of local children and families in need.

KIND is a children’s charity that was founded by Stephen Yip in 1975 and that believes in the importance of investing in the future - the children. Every year, KIND works with thousands of children, young people and their families across Liverpool and the greater Merseyside area pioneering new and imaginative ways to help them cope with many forms of disadvantage. KIND teaches children awareness of the environment and healthy living, offers various activities and gives support to disadvantaged children and their families.

The Christmas Appeal (to which our crowdfunding project contributes to) started in 1975 and helps thousands of disadvantaged children and their families from across Liverpool and Greater Merseyside to enjoy this special time of year. Large hampers with food and toys are provided to those families at Christmas. KIND’s appeal is completely self-sustaining thanks to donations, and every pound donated is completely spent on the Christmas appeal. The KIND Christmas Appeal is all about making a difference.

With your help we can make Christmas for the thousands of children in the Liverpool and the greater Merseyside area special and give something back to the community.
