After 25 yrs designing and developing solar water heating systems for wealthy western home owners, it was my 3 week visit to Ghana, Cameroon and Nigeria in 2014 that woke me up to the needs of rural villages that lived with no running hot/cold water, limited electricity for lighting and no sanitation, that we take for granted in the developed world.

Seeing this week in many news papers that the CE of BIG aid provider companies are being paid up to £600,000 in salary and bonuses from the £11 billion of foreign aid donated by British Tax Payers angers me even further, when every day you see on the TV the poorest people dieing from war, droughts and lack of basic human needs.

This year I managed to win a contract to supply a UK Utility with 50,000 LED light bulbs, gift boxed for its 450,000 customers plus the exporting of 3,000 of my E bulbs to a small business in Senegal. I used 90% of this profit to complete my 12 Portable Solar Charging Station kits, 80% carry handle boxed for those wanting to stay on line where ever in the world you are off grid.

The £15,000 funding will finance the first 100 portable solar charging station kits in 4 options.

I want to make an awareness to those in the developed world who would never live as I did for 3 weeks in Rural African villages, that we can provide a boxed solar lighting, mobile phone and even a lap top back up kit that can be used in a beach hut to a back garden shed to a mobile home. The Solarbrella charging kit is the perfect power bank charging device for those going camping, down the beach with their parasol as the support, to your back garden for all summer time use.

We all know about how the Mobile phone and lap top works using stored battery power, same as the Electric Car like TESLA, yet when the UK suffers from high winds, rain and storms, we hunt for the candles or flash torch to keep the lights on.

In less than 6 months, I will introduce a home solar lighting kit, which like the E cars, will run from the latest in lithium battery technology as you now find in power banks (used to keep your mobile charged up in times of need) free of the national grid, once you understand how to bring together the KEY component parts that has taken me 15 yrs to find, then to wait until the technology is proven and the price is right for any changes in our life styles to happen.

There are over 1.6 billion people across the developing world including those involved in war zones like Syria, Yemen and Iraq to the thousands of rural villages in Africa with limited or NO national grid connection these solar lighting/mobile charging kits are aimed to be offered too, allowing them to read/write, be safe at night and run a business.

My 12 Portable Solar Charging Station kit range is 90% designed and developed by me, financed by me and by the end of January will be ready to start shipping to end users and selected distributors

For every sale made to a British buyer, a discount of 25% will be deducted from the African export price list for a range ofPortable Solar Charging Station kits already developed for 4 countries in West Africa in order to be more affordable to those who are able to afford the lowest cost kit of the 12.
