In the Darnia's Quest series of young adult novels, Don Alexander has crafted a Christian, faith-based fantasy world that has captivated readers of all ages. Darnia, the courageous main character, is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, making the series hugely attractive to the often-overlooked bilingual and Spanish-speaking segment of the YA fiction market. As a former assistant principal with more than twenty years of teaching experience in the Chino Valley Unified School District, Mr. Alexander understands what it is in a book that captivates our children's interest and keeps them turning the pages.

Endorsed by such major figures as Mel Gibson, Pat Robertson, Chuck Norris, Kirk Cameron, Pat Boone, Patricia Heaton, Tom Selleck, Senator Alan Keyes, Ciaran Hinds, Larry Klayman, and Dr. Ted Baer, Darnia's Quest is a fantasy story that falls firmly outside the realm of the pro-witchcraft genre, which parents across the nations have vocally opposed by the millions. Now, we are moving forward with plans to produce a film adaptation of Darnia's Quest.

Right now, we are turning to you, GoGetFunding.com, for help raising $3,400,000. This operating capital will cover the costs of all three phases of PRODUCTION (pre, shooting, and post) for the Darnia’s Quest film adaptation, expanding the series’ profile and bringing this story to life on the big screen. Solomon Alexander, is already slated to play the lead role of Darnia: all we need to do is raise our production budget and we will be ready to start shooting on location in Lone Pine, CA.

We appreciate your contributions and thank you for your time.

“Darnia’s Quest is a pure book that teaches children that you can love God and be cool at the same time. Our society has become overrun with a culture that attacks Christians and teaches that paganism and witchcraft are acceptable and indeed to be embraced while our Judeo-Christian values are to be mocked. Darnia’s Quest is a counterpoint to this perversion and demonstrates that decency and Christianity are the values that are instrumental to life.” Chuck Norris, Famed Action Hero and Christian Actor

“Darnia’s Quest teaches our children the universal message of the love of God. In today’s world our children are taught about violence and other perversions and that is why Darnia’s Quest with its simple and poignant message is so important for our children. Don Alexander is a superbly talented author who writes from his heart and his love of God,” continued Boone. “I urge parents to go and purchase a copy of Darnia’s Quest for their children to help them to connect with God.” –Pat Boone, Famed Actor and Singer

“I know that if a book, like Darnia’s Quest had been available when I was younger, I would have found God much earlier. Darnia’s Quest is a message that to me is Divinely inspired. Darnia’s Quest is a message that all things are possible with God. Our children need to know that and accept this message. Don Alexander has worked with children in our education system and he knows what is lacking in their life – God. We owe Don a debt of gratitude for bringing God to our children in Darnia’s Quest and not being afraid to put this message out in the marketplace." –Kirk Cameron, Hollywood Actor and Christian TV Host

“Darnia’s Quest is a book that brings to children the gift of reading while embracing the spiritual principles necessary for a balanced and wholesome life. Not only is he an author, new father, and educator, Don is a man of faith and uncommon decency. Today’s education system, sees teachers running scared from the mere mention of God and Jesus, yet Don in Darnia’s Quest embraces God in a way that children can relate too and benefit from throughout their life. Don has written a book that will one day make an epic movie that will stand the test of time. Our nation and children can use more authors and teachers like Don. Tom Selleck, Hollywood Actor

“Today’s youth see nothing but violence and sex on television from the news to prime time television shows. And then we wonder why our children face so many problems. The answer is simple – they are not learning values and they are not learning about God. To be able to shape our children and their future, we must reach them when they are young and instill values and Godliness in them. Don Alexander understands this and has done just that in Darnia’s Quest, a book that I consider a masterpiece for children. My children loved the book and I urge parents to share this beautiful message with their children.” –Morgan Brittany, Celebrated Hollywood Actress & Child Advocate

“Without a doubt in my mind, Darnia’s Quest is one of the best children’s books written in the past 50 years and this book will stand the test of time. The more children read Darnia’s Quest, the more they will learn the path of truth and righteousness. Don Alexander is a man of great foresight, faith, and courage. Foresight in the understanding that only a teacher can see of the need not only to educate our children with reading but to educate them with God. Faith in the way his book is written that denotes his love of God and Jesus and his acceptance of his Savior. Courage to stand up, as the early Christian martyrs did for his God. I know it cannot be easy to stand up as a public school teacher in this world of secularism and say our children must learn faith as well as computers and reading. With more teachers of faith like Don, I know the future of our children will be secure.” –Dr. Pat Robertson, CBN Founder

But just when his dreams seem to be filled with wonder and excitement they suddenly provide danger and uncertainty too, thrusting Dar into a strange world of adventure which is almost beyond his comprehension.

And at the underwater castle the new-found friends discover a challenge like no other. Defended by the frightening and belligerent arm-eating castlemen, who are merciless in the face of their enemies, it is a fortress which will take every ounce of Dar’s strength and cunning to overcome. Find out what can sometimes happen when you fall asleep, and your new best friends are not all that they seem.

About book two Jenara's Return

Following on from the sensational Darnia’s Quest, Jenara’s Return sees our hero Dar learning about the mighty power of God and spirituality.

Even though he is hospitalised by the beating, Dar manages to get from his bed to church in time for the service. He is determined that the actions of Brian will not affect his life and through his courageous actions hundreds more of his contemporaries are also able to find God.

But what of Jenara? Will she be revealed as something tangible, or is she simply the best part of Darnia's dream's ever?

“Western culture is under attack by those who seek a world of secularism and seek to deny Heavenly Power,” said Gibson. “We see this in what is taught to our children. Fortunately, Don Alexander was brave enough to say no to this culture of secularism. He truly understands that the children are the future of any society and he should serve as an inspiration for all of us in renewing our dedication to faith. Darnia’s Quest is a message that is filled with love and reminds us that there is a higher power – God. Darnia’s Quest will inspire children to read while teaching them the most important thing in life – a love of God. This should be required reading in every school. It teaches the fundamental of what Christianity is about love and faith.” –Mel Gibson

Patricia Heaton, best known for her role on the CBS comedy, "Everybody Loves Raymond" has endorsed the children's Christian book, Darnia's Quest and is urging parents to purchase the book for their children over the holidays. Heaton, known for her conservative views in Hollywood an strident, anti-abortion stand, praised the book and author, Don Alexander for teaching children essential lessons in a creative and fun way. “Darnia’s Quest is a book that brings a clean and wholesome message to children that they are do not see reflected in movies, television, or other books. Our children are not learning the message of love of God and that is why a book such as Darnia’s Quest is so important since it teaches that message. My children loved the story and the message of Darnia’s Quest and as a parent, I urge all parents to let your children experience the joy and hope that is in Darnia’s Quest. –Patricia Heaton

Darnia’s Quest is a wholesome and uplifting story that captivates the mind and spirit of the reader,” said Hinds. “Don Alexander is a person who understands how to reach our youth and teach them Jesus’ message of love through his book – Darnia’s Quest. If there were more books in the world like Darnia’s Quest, we adults would not be worried about our youth. It is my hope that Darnia’s Quest will be made required reading for our children, replacing books that glorify evil, and instead take our children down the road of righteousness,” continued Hinds. “Darnia’s Quest is a true home run and has the makings of a blockbuster.” –Ciaran Hinds

Don Alexander lives in California with his lovely wife, 9-year-old son, 2-year-old daughter, and a terrier poodle named Cuddles. He has published numerous poems and is now venturing into fictional novels. Don previously taught public school for 19 years and was promoted to an Assistant Principal.

Mr. Alexander wrote Darnia’s Quest while living with his grandfather Ray Gemme, who recently passed away. Though it is a young readers’ book, Mr. Alexander hopes any adults who read it will remember to stay young at heart. He will be showcasing his book at literacy trade shows across America, including the Christian Booksellers Association.

“It is my intent that the children of our world will see in Darnia a character who loves himself and the Lord at the same time,” said Mr. Alexander. “Kids need to know it’s ok to be who God made them to be.”

As an Assistant Principal and public school teacher, Mr. Alexander would make up stories that mesmerized and fascinated the children he taught: "I rocked teacher reading time by doing voice impersonations and becoming the part," says author Don Alexander.

“I have always loved creating stories for children.” said Mr. Alexander. "Now it's time to bring these stories to life on the silver screen!"
