Hands Buddy- Ergonomically Better and Comfortable long lasting Manual Wheelchair Brake Handle.

we are a group of four. we have worked in the nursing field a minimum of 5 years collectively. Hector and Debbie Chrisman (owners), Richard Tabut (co-owner) and Breeya Johnson who are the group came up with a great product that is going to eradicate a great problem being faced now majorly by our baby boomer generation in nursing home facilities and other senior care facilities too. Almost 90% of them depend and have manual wheelchairs. These are our Dads, moms, grandparents and many other. The rubber protection that goes onto the brake grip handles of these wheelchairs basically wear out quickly due to constant pressure being put on them directly by the users. Eventually, they end up with the bare metal pieces exposed; which ends up hurting their fragile palms, thumbs, chipping nails , bruising on the palm that can continue to permanent hand loss and functionality due to contractures, hence they end up loosing a form of independence. These exposed metals are temporarily covered with gauze material, sponge materials, duck tape, plastic or rubber cutting wich are all unhygienic to the users and a bad look to the care of their functionality devices . This problem afects not only our elderly in care facilities but, also members of the public who use and depend on manual wheelchairs for their daily mobility. Hence this group went ahead and designed a breakthrough product that will solve the problems mentioned above. Their product is also protected by the USPTO with an applied patent that is still on patent pending. Together the group has decided to come forward to the community for help in order to see that this product is a success. We have successfully got a company to mass produce for us nearby too which is one of our many blessings.
