Campaign Story
Hi, this is Debi Saland; Denise is my spiritual sister and best friend.
As most of you know Denise had various medical problems for last 10 to 15 years, back & neck surgery as well as migraines & seizures. Through all of this, she has kept a very positive attitude. In June, we received the news that she has sinus cancer. After having 1 session of chemo and surgery to remove an egg-sized portion of the tumor they have determined that she has Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma cased by the HPV virus. This cancer is very aggressive and does not respond to Chemo or Radiation, her only hope is total removal of the tumor, due to the size of the tumor this means surgery to remove the left side of the face including the eye, surgery is set for Nov 16, 2016. The doctors are very hopefully that this will be successful. Denise is doing her best to keep positive thoughts but there are times that this is hard.
Unfortunately the costs above what the insurance is paying is becoming a hardship on us and we need to turn to our family and friends for help, we hate asking this from you but have nowhere else to turn.
At this time, we would like to thank everyone for the love and support that you all have given.
It would be greatly appreciated if you would forward this to your friends and family so they are aware just how dangerous the HPV virus can be and how important it is to get vaccinated.Fundraising Team

Denise I hope you get well. I know the surgery has already passed. I pray that it was a success and I wish you the best. You were such a big help to me growing up and I hope this little bit can help in some way to make you at least a little more comfortable. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
