Thank you for taking the time and visiting Casey's page.  Casey has written a statement with his goals and accomplishments;

I started wrestling in 2012 – and have no plans to stop! In fact, I plan on becoming a wrestling state champion and wrestling at the collegiate level! Wrestling motivates me in all facets of life, as I am an honor roll student and a volunteer coach as well.

My first year on the travel wrestling team, Central Maryland, my record was 2-22. Clearly, it was not a stellar record, but I loved wrestling and knew I wanted to be better. Over the off season, I put in a lot of work to better myself. It paid off! In just my 2nd season, I improved to a 45-10 record and placed 4th in the Maryland Junior State Tournament.

This season I started for Old Mill High School, traditionally one of the top programs in Maryland. It was my first opportunity to wrestle at the varsity level. Over the season, I maintained my weight and compiled a 35-7 record, helping my team to the County Tournament, Team Championship and a Regional Dual Championships!

Due to my hard work and varsity record, I was invited to join a club team, Blue Claw, to wrestle in the National Dual Tournament in Virginia Beach, VA in May. I also plan on wrestling for the Wolfpack Wrestling Club in Junior Olympics in Virginia Beach, VA in August.

I will not be able to achieve my goal of state champion or collegiate wrester without additional work. So, just as I practiced after my first season in 2012 to ensure a winning record in 2013 & 2014, I plan to practice off season in 2015. Practicing off season will include camps and mat clubs and paying for those camps and clubs can get expensive. I have the opportunity to attend at least 2 camps this summer. I have been to the Granby Camp in Hampton Sydney, VA the past 2 years.

I have committed myself to raise money  to help offset the financial burden of my goal. While I will be putting in the hours to better myself as a wrestler, I hope that you will help me to get to the camps that will move me closer to my goal! Please know that donations of any size are appreciated more than you know.

Thank you for your time, Casey Payne
