Certify Carol with Strengths Coaching!

Hi there. I'm Carol. I am passionate about helping others find their strengths, and develop their potential. I wish to be a certified StrengthsFinder coach.

My goal: To share the benefit I have derived from Strengths Coaching to others so that they too can maximize their potential in life.

Why I want to be a certified StrengthsFinder Career Coach:

Before I joined the workforce 2+ years ago, I’ve heard the saying that most people do not like their job, and they are simply working for a living. It saddens me greatly to hear that because I’ve always been interested in helping people find their passion, to hear that you are enjoying your work as much as you would like to.

I was introduced to the book Strengths Finder in 2014 by someone that I have great respect for. She is someone I view as a mentor in both life, and in career. And since then, I've been so amazed at the value this book can bring to each individual. I have benefited so much from the Strengths Finder analysis that I am always sharing about this book to just about everyone I meet.

So why is this book so special?

StrengthsFinder 2.0 is authored by Tom Rath and this book introduces you to 34 themes of strengths that one might posses. An assessment is also provided online for you to discover your top 5 strengths. I must say that some of the strengths will come as a surprise!

Everyone has talents. It's either you are aware of it or you aren't. Being aware of your own talents is exhilarating. There's so much more you could do everyday with that knowledge. You will feel empowered, confident, and ready to have a fulfilling time no matter the task.

Passionate about this profiling tool, I even created my own set of cards featuring a shorter version of the 34 themes in Strengths Finder. I find that this allows me to explain the different strengths easily to my friends for their understanding.

There is now an opportunity for me to go to the next level.

I know that there is a Strengths Coaching Course to be held in Singapore this year which could enable me to become a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. There's a session in May and another one in July. I am currently working out arrangements to attend the course this year. My goal is to complete this course and offer my help via coaching to people who needs support in finding their strength and leveraging on them:

These people can be

• The graduate next door with an Accountancy degree but with no interest to pursue that career path
• The 28-year executive who lost the spark in his eyes and is looking for a career switch
• The junior college student who passed A levels but is unsure of what degree to pursue in university
• The semi-retired professional who didn’t know what to do in his leisure time
