Tom Graham Sr has touched many lives. He has opened his home to more than a few people in his time.....a friend who got laid off and needed a place to stay, a young boy he raised in addition to his eight children, a friend of one of his children until they felt safe enough to return home, plus more. He is an honorable and a generous man, often giving food, money, help, and transportation to and for those in need. Living primarily on social security, this man still opts to give to his two favorite charities.

Tom has now been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Everything is happening very quickly. There is some aid for his treatment but nonetheless, there are still outstanding balances, hotel cost (out of state for treatment/chemo each week), gas, tolls, food, parking, etc... He also needs some home adjustments in order to get around, railings, commode or higher toilet, chair lift, etc... There are ongoing cost for small things like specific thermometers, masks, gloves, Imodium, etc.. There will be future cost and treatment when he has complications, etc......the list is never ending. Sadly, Tom's prognosis is less than a year. At that time, there will of course be funeral costs as well. Unfortunately, Tom does not have money for these things.

It is Tom's time to be helped. Tom needs to have the love and financial support around him from friends, family, relatives, and the community. Please help fund Tom's cause for financial assistance aiding with the above mentioned treatment, equipment, and funeral costs. He cannot do it without you.

Lastly, please pray for Tom, his wife Jackie and his children. This is a very difficult time. We feel lost, overwhelmed, sad, anxious, depressed, then grateful, blessed, and spiritual. There are so many emotional going on all at once. Be kind if we cross paths. A smile means a lot. God Bless all of you.

Back in the Ole ER

Small bumps.......Looks like a vagal response. Big difference to the last picture. Dad has chosen no chemo. He has bounced back and wants to stay alert for his last month's with us. Big 60th wedding anniversary this weekend for mom and dad. He will be surrounded by family and friends.

"I'm not going down without a fight!"

Update posted by Deena Boucher (Graham) at 09:10 pm

Dad has been on dialysis now for a week almost. His kidneys are slow to respond but we are feeling hopeful. When a family member was talking to dad about the cancer, dad had no words. Just this picture. I guess it IS TRUE, a picture says a thousand words.

Ups and downs

Almost two weeks in the hospital. Lungs are much better and Tom is breathing on his own again without oxygen. Rash over entire body has reduced to only a small amount on his shins. The sun started to shine but then his kidneys shut down. Tom had to go on

Exhausted

Update posted by Deena Boucher (Graham) at 06:58 pm

This bout of chemo really put dad under. He remains on oxygen (never been on it before), he is so exhausted he cannot hold the phone, and he has sunk into depression. This wonderful, proud, strong man is crumbling before us. I cannot write more. Please keep us in your

Hard Journey

Update posted by Deena Boucher (Graham) at 10:00 pm

Easter was full of celebrations of life. We all were grateful to have my father present. Some even stole a moment for pictures (see my sister Polly and dad). Unfortunately, not even a week later and dad is confused, weak, and hospitalized. I am highly hopeful dad will improve and
