I grew up in New York City to a southern family, with a mom with NYC inspiration. Mediterranean dishes like taboulee was a norm for dinner and a jar of tomato sauce was something only seen on commercials. Authenticity was something respected learned from different cultures from the people who made it and mom taught me to love it. Mom worked in china town learning how to eat with chop sticks was an early skill with an enjoyable plate of duck. Siracha on my noodles since age 7 with a pork bun side and delicious Chinese sponge cake.

Very young I moved from Harlem to the Bronx where Nigerian food like fu fu and stew was readily accessible ;as well as the carribean. Salt fish and ackee with dumplings and white tea for breakfast, Cubanos for lunch and goat head soup on the side of pineapple chicken, peas and rice with cabbage for dinner and dessert tres leche cake. Later on introduced to Pakistani food like red goat curry and rasmali, japanese sushi with miso soup. My family went vegan for a while tofu can be delicious! I can go on an on. But I can't get it in one place. I eat Sri Lankan food in my neighborhood and real prosciutto in my partner's where he grew up with homemade mozzarella and homemade olive oil. But my problem is simple you can't get it in one place. It's a delima for world travelers or foodies like me. I love food, I love culture I love accessibility. I was a poetry slam competitor more times that I can count that exposed brick sentimental the roasted Coffee essential, my poetry even took me to club NV the lights the furniture even the illumination of the bottles. I believe that NYC is a melting pot but places hide from each other. If I as a person can bring authenticity that unifies the world like music and food I've done my earthly duties. Help me make my love of food real for everyone. Where would you like to travel today. Will be my waiters and waitresses question to my guest and if your ready to let the sights, smells sound, tastes send you to the bayou or to the elps it'll all be here. Plus class and style. See my dream and make it yours.
