Help Me Attend The Home School in Miami Beach!

Recently, I was offered the opportunity of a lifetime. I was accepted into a fairly new but extremely competitive writer's conference called The Home School, which will meet in Miami this upcoming January. Of the 400+ artists who applied, I was one of eighty folks chosen.

The Home School is my dream writer's conference, full of experimentalism, cross-discipline work, & comprised of a vast selection of different voices & experiences. I feel it is important for me to accept an opportunity like this so that I can further work on my craft, network with other artists, & push my work out into other spheres.

That being said, I have been very privileged thus far in my writing life. I have art to offer.

I want to use this fundraising platform to offer donors a poem of your choice. You can commission me to write a poem on any topic, in any form, any length. I'll write you the best damn poem you've ever bought. I'll handwrite it & mail it to you, or paint it onto a canvas for you. I'll write you a sonnet about an old saxophone you found in a thrift store window. I'll tell you a nonlinear story via prose poetry about roadkill without ever using words like "smash," "decay," "rot," or "car." I'll write you an epistolary poem that mirrors our relationship, but through the eyes of two mythologized & jaded visual artists from the mid-1990s. If you want Steven Universe poetry, I'll write you some Steven Universe poetry.

AirBNB (Miami Beach for six days): $385
