Our beloved Jonny was viciously mauled by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  He is the most loving and affectionate family cat and we and the children are devastated.  He was outside our house, minding his own business, when this dog attacked him. The owner was present and was seen to just walk away, leaving poor Jonny lying in a pool of his own blood. We rushed him to the emergency vets and he was suffering from extreme shock but has been very fortunate to pull through overnight but has been badly wounded and will be operated on today to have his leg removed and will need lots of treatment to get him back to somewhere approaching "normal". This is going to be incredibly expensive to try to put Jonny back on his remaining feet and our friends urged us to make this page to ask for your kind help. We will try legally to pursue the owner of the dog "to do the right thing" and if we are succesfful will give all donations to a Cats Protection Charity. Thank you so much!

  • Hope our donation helps to get Jonny well again. I blame the owner more than the dog, he should be made to pay for all the vet treatment and have his leg amputated without anaesthetic. The dog has probably encouraged to do this sort of thing by dickless knuckledragger, could be any breed but the Staffie is always keen to ingratiate himself to his owner and has extremely strong jaws. get well soon Jonny x

We wish to thank everyone who has donated, so very, very much it is so appreciated. This has been such a terrible time and Jonny sadly died in the end. The vets bills were nearly £3000 but Jonny was so deeply loved by all that there was no alternative for. . . . .
