Why we decided to raise the goal to $10,000: The first and second hospitalisation costs a total of $6000 (Mount Pleasent and Gaia), with 2 reviews costing about $300 each at Mount Pleasent. The recent review (includes blood tests) at Gaia was around $665. The total is now around $7000, way more than what we expected. It will only be a matter of time before the additional reviews will add up the total bill to $10000. As said before, only my husband is working, bringing in around $2700 after CPF, so a lot of our savings are exhausted. [I cannot find a job at the moment because I have to take extra care of Jewel]
