August 5, Dennis managed to tolerate the closed speaking valve for 24hrs. So next day, his tracheo tube was wean off. Aug. 7, he undergo an assessment called FEES (fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing). Speech Therapist checked if the swallowed soft food will passes to the right direction. His swallowing is good, they start his soft food 5pm today. Still in NGT, in case he don't like to eat, they will still feed him milk thru the nose tube.

He is now good in balancing his body. Right kneecap is using minimal strength for walking but still need PT's support in lifting his right foot to move forward. They have plan of transferring him to the rehabilitation center next week.

His final cranioplasty is not yet scheduled. They want to trachea to be fully healed before they do the implant.
