The Struggle Continues

Update posted by Christopher Ricciardi

Here we are, over a month into the restrictions posed on Costa Rica and we have expanded our reach to more than 65 families all around the area.

Our weekly bags of food have been helping people withstand the loss of their jobs due to the economic impact of this Global Pandemic.

Families have been joyed to received clothing, household items like pots pans, dishes, coffee makers, as well as a lot of books and toys, puzzles and games for young children.

Those of you that have so generously donated to the campaign may never know exactly how grateful our families are but we can assure you that they are holding each of you close to their hearts each night.

We continue to get small amounts of financial contributions to the campaign which is wonderful but the dry food goods donations have come to a near halt. We'd like to ask our community to once again have a look at any unwanted bags of rice, beans, canned goods, cooking oils, soaps and detergents and please drop them of at the Tables in front of Mama Toucan's here in Dominical. These items go a long way to filling out our donation bags and we still have a long way to go. We are not out of the woods yet.

Thank you again to our very generous community. We could not do this without your support.
