Some Good News - Applied for Passport In Town and some bad news
Update posted by Kat Renee KittelSome Good News - do not have to go to Dallas. I applied for my passport here in town and will take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive. So am trying to leave for England on the 6th of February or later vs in January.
Cost for passport was about $263.00. Minus the ten percent funding
fees, the amount from your help was $334.49, leaving about $71.00 left to
help toward the plane trip or to pay my bills. Thank you all for helping
me get this far. At least now I will have my real ID - driver's license
and passport which I can use against the woman who stole my identity. I
will be getting a case number and police report hopefully tomorrow so I can report the fraud to the IRS.
I
went to the Social Security office on Friday and told them about the
Social Security fraud of my Identity and showed them Frank's death
certificate. I have to wait until my real ID comes in to get a new Social Security card. Because of Frank's death, no income will be coming in at the end of January and every month we have about
$800 in bills, including Care Credit and other credit bills that were
used to help pets and owners in need and our foster pets (Scratch Pay
for Jazzpur's medical treatment when he died last October),
utility bills, house insurance, payments for medical bills, etc. Right
now I am short about $200 to cover bills. My brother is helping with
groceries and needs for the foster cats - he can only help so much...
As far as spouse benefits, the earliest appointment to apply is in
March, leaving two months of no income for sure, and because he was a
British citizen and away from our home, I don't know what benefits I
will be allowed to have if any. Found out that no benefits will be
coming from England, and Frank thought there would be. I do have a
settlement from a car accident in 2018 that will be having a deposition
soon and then hopefully not go to court, yet
if there is anything left past the medical bills for the accident -
must go to catch up on property taxes for my house so I don't lose my
home which is paid for. I will to try to consolidate our debt into one
lower payment but I need to find right company to help.
Still leaves me with no income. I will be selling everything I have
until I can possibly find a job or find a way to make income from home.
My mother is disabled and relies on me, making it more difficult to work
full time.
As for my plane ticket - my brother may have to apply for credit to pay, because need to book asap. A local travel agent had quoted a price for January 27th that was only $862. Maybe she can find a similar price or lower for February. However, the agency charges $100 if all they do is book plane fare, yet it's trustworthy and they do the legwork and can tell me what to expect for luggage and carry-ons and find out if gluten free meals are available. When I checked myself for good pricing, I didn't know what website to trust and most of them didn't give enough information.
On a good note, the 8 foster kittens will be going to the rescue clinic on the 31st of January. Gina
still needs her first booster shot vaccination. The other 7 have had one
booster shot. I am so thankful to have saved the lives of these 8
sweeties, one of which is special needs and requires help to walk. You
can read about them at kfmnewz.blogspot.com or search for Friends of
Katiez Furry Mewz on Facebook. Speaking of Facebook, I may start a
funding help there because the fees are less. I am thankful for Go Get
Funding because your help was available immediately. Now it may be okay
if takes a few days to receive... - Hugs and Purrs, Katie.
