My husband Frank passed away on Monday 30th December 2019 in Uxbridge, England. He had a fall about a week prior and cracked his hip which needed surgery... He was scheduled to leave Hillingdon Hospital either that morning or Tuesday before New Year's Day. Instead he was found by the nurses to be unresponsive and they could not revive him. I am in Kansas and he passed away without insurance. I need to book flight to England to take care of his funeral and arrangements, yet my passport was stolen a few years ago - Not only do I need to schedule bereavement flight but expedite my passport.
The amount I am asking is only an estimate as the normal flight without bereavement discount is around about 1300 if I take a flight from Dallas (otherwise could be twice as much if I leave from my hometown in Kansas) plus the expense of providing a service and cremation expense because I cannot afford to bring his body back to America. I was told that a funeral service in England can cost up to 3,000 pounds - nearly 4,000 dollars! Family friends in England are looking for a less expensive way to have service. I hope we find one. There is the cost of my passport at about $200.00 to expedite and trip to Dallas to get the passport and somehow catch a plane from DFW airport the next day. All at least a day before service which isn't set yet. Friends are having to take care of his death certificate because somehow I wasn't listed as next of kin at the hospital!!
I have spent over 10 years blogging for foster cats, helping animals and pet owners in need. Now due to Frank and I helping others which maxed out our savings and my credit cards, we are now the ones in need. To my friends around the world - pet bloggers, animal rescuers and photography friends, etc - please help me put my husband to rest. We have helped so many lives in need, please help us now.
May God bless you all in the New Year...

Topeka Trip for my ID papers and Fraud on my Social Security Number
Update posted by Kat Renee Kittel at 05:31 pmUpdate: My adopted brother drove me to Topeka, Kansas yesterday where I got official copies of my birth certificate and marriage license. Monday I will get a "real ID" driver's license that I need before obtaining passport. Hopefully on Monday, the family friend in England will be able to get. . . . .
