The fight continues

Update posted by Natasha Lynch

Things have been pretty up and down for Tasha since the start of the year.

Shes had a pretty stubborn infection shes not been able to fully kick and now her chest has joined in the party! Tasha has been referred to see infectious disease specialists as with her immune deficiency and all her tubes and history of sepsis, shes getting some infections that are highly resistant to antibiotics which is leaving few options for treatment. Another reason we need to keep tasha at HOME so we can keep better control of things and reduce further risk of hospital acquired infections.

Tasha has also been referred to rheumatology as theres a high suspicion of an inflammatory arthritis, there's talk of starting tasha on methotrexate which is actually a chemo type drug and would further suppress her immune system, but something is needed to get control of all the inflammation, swelling and stiffness in Tashas joints and help her pain as her pain has deteriorated more in recent months. But discussions need to happen about whether this is safe for Tasha or not.

Again, any help is greatly appreciated to keep Tasha at home where she belongs and to continue living life the best she can.

All we need is 60 people to donate €10 a month, you can set up a recurring donation here on this site and it is completely safe and secure!

Thank you, the Lynch family.
