Edwin was transferred to the new hospital on Tuesday evening. The journey there was difficult and when Edwin reached the hospital, the medical team found him to be hypotension and the need for oxygen increasing. The first night was a long night spent doing a lot of blood test, scans etc. They quickly put him on drip and he started using the oxygen mask the next morning. The icu team was called in, as well as the palliative team. So currently, it is impossible for Edwin to do a chemo and then transplant given his current medical status. However, he is fighting on. Even though many doctors are trying to prepare us for the worst scenario, we feel that Edwin can overcome this. His ultimate wish is still a transplant and to be a survivor of this disease.
