Over a month in bed and no ablity to work

Update posted by Heather McKenna

Almost 40 days since Kendra's accident. Kendra is still on bed rest. There is NO estimated time when they will be back to work. All their scheduled work has been put on hold or assigned to other folks.

As few words from Kendra's sister:

Some of you may know that at the beginning of this year, my older sister Kendra was in an accident wherein she was crushed between a moving vehicle and a stationary object. As an outdoor educator, her diminished mobility has created a huge work challenge for her. The incredible community she lives in has put together a fundraiser to help with rent/living costs during this time of recovery and healing, and it would be such a help to her if you have even $5 to send her way.

For those of my friends who don’t know her, my sister is one of the most vibrant, loving, authentic people I know, and has taught me so much about how to truly listen and connect. She is the Co-founder of an outdoor school, and has a long history of using her love of the outdoors and her communication and authentic relating skills to improve the connections we all share with each other and to our natural environments. The curriculum of her school is rooted in settler responsibility and decolonizing the way we spend time outside. It is work that she is incredibly passionate about, and until she is able to return to it, it would make such a difference if you are able to help.

Thank you so much!
