Quick update: Our son Kenzo completed his first round of chemo more than a week ago. In addition to an intravenous chemotherapy, his heme-oncologist also gave him intrathecal chemo where they delivered the chemo through a needle in between his two lumbar vertebrae (lower back bones). This procedure has caused him so much pain even a few days after discharge from the hospital. We go to the hospital once a week for laboratory tests to monitor his blood counts. We are awaiting the date for the second round of chemotherapy. Will keep everyone informed. Thank you again for all your help.
