I wonder how will this be possible?

Update posted by Kiran Kreer

Dear friends, as I move slowly further south into West Africa, I wonder how will this be possible? With thousand of kilometres to travel by land, villages to seek, communities to meet and projects to start. I have many challenges ahead, many things to work out and the same time making sure the solar lights and basic needs reach the families here too.

A friend ask me a few days ago, why are you doing this? What's my reason? That's a difficult question to answer, as for why I live this path of life or why this project. I guess the short answer is my journey brought me here. It's what I'm passionate about. I cannot just keep travelling knowing that there are those I cross path with less or nothing. Those who live with no basic needs, no electricity or even a proper shelters. These are people too. With real lives like you and me. They need to be empowered too.

How can I just do nothing, while I live among them? While we know about the issues and how hard life is for them. Maybe that's my why. I don't know. What I do know is that I am here in their homes, communities and lands now. This is what we can do for them while we learn their cultures and needs. With what we know, understand and have experience with. This is how we can give back. It becomes a purpose somehow.

So if you feel you have a little to give too, to help empower this project and mission, to help donate few solar lights, donate as little you can, it will help us too. We can then put ideas together and our energy into this social projects and aiding these communities. Those who are truly are in need.

We still need funds for solar lights & social projects (South Senegal & Gambia). We have funds for only 88 solar lights for now, with 412 more to go! Each solar light cost US$15.00 (MYR60). You can choose to send a gift of light or donate any amount you wish to. Every little support matters so we can keep going.
