Today 10.08.18 , a big day, lots of effort

Update posted by Basile Gagnebin

Firstly, thanks to you all, it's nice to see so many people care.
We already received 670 CHF.
We calculated that a Lombok victim needs about 1 CHF a day to survive, so we can help 670 victims.I wrote this this morning and this evening I open and we are at 1660 CHF :) THANKS to you all

1. Update

Firstly some update about the situation in Lombok and the Gili's:
The second earthquake yesterday did some more damage, mostly hurting people staying to close to their house, or in houses still standing.
But not as bad as the first one.

Photo: our accountant send me this picture, saying his wife received a wall on the head ! Hard the hospital are full and no transportation.

But prognostics are that now it will decrease, we all hope so.
Our main concern is still to provide first aid, such as medical, water, food and cover/clothes/tents.
The Indonesian rescue team is overwhelmed and not so organised.
Still most of the people we know are without even water, and we receive lots of messages each day.
One of our concern is that we don’t see many ONG on site and we wonder why. Perhaps the Indonesian government refuse to let them in or to ring the red alarm.
We are currently trying to contact them and get answers, but if someone has good contact to big ONG , it would help, please let us know?

The army should arrive today, but the situation is still very precarious.
That's why our focus is there, in Lombok.
We currently have about 14 different (private) foreigner supply transportation teams (it’s all people I know and trust, thanks to them

But at the moment the food supply from Lombok is getting short, and we have to send truck from Bali.
As I am currently in Switzerland, I started to organize and coordinate the emergency supply. Coordination is one of our bigger problem now, as most small rescue teams are very busy with hands on work such as transport, food order, list of victims, response, social media and accounting. They have little time to contact each other and coordinate.
So we will try unite forces and work more together.
We have created hotline.
I have been working on a rescue plan, to send to victims, to see what are they needs, put priorities and make sure we dispatch our food supplies accordingly
But we already have so many answers, that it’s hard to answer all of them. We try our best!
I aslo have to continue promoting the fundraising. Keep sharing, please!

Gili Trawangan is a bit better for the supplies, only about 80 people are still there, because most of the island has been evacuated. There is about 20 foreigners who try to fix the island and 50 locals, who live on the island and don’t want to leave their house.
The army is there, but there is still lots of lootings at night and the sanitary/health conditions are getting very bad.
We also have to work with all the victims back in Bali, mostly foreigner, most of them are still stressed out, we organized psychological meeting to help them to debrief, and even thinking of doing consultation online. If you have someone who might be interested to give therapy skype with the victims, we are interested.
2. Plan
So now our plan for the next days, is to monitor supply delivery and try to reorganise for tomorrow.
I still haven't used any of our fund, because most of the rescue groups still have enough funds, and we will see where the funds are the most useful within the next days.
I will let you know ASAP when we use it
I will still work on the organisation and coordination, we have quite a few important meeting today with the rescue groups representatives to see how we are and how we improve.
Thank you a lot !
I will keep you posted.
Let's save Lombok !

I wanted to add more pictures but the site block :(
