We are literally bursting at the seams! We are also restricted as to how many pups we can care for at a time, leaving no choice but to turn a lot of eager clients away. Our family is also growing, and soon we will no longer be able to run the business from our present home. We would like to be able to keep the same "At Home" feel for our furry friends, however in a bigger facility (boarding house).This will mean more costs, more start up supplies, more everything. We are seeking help from everyone to supports us as well as business grants to make this come to life.

So, what now?

Our vision is to become a pillar of support in the community for pet owners, and a non-profit animal care facility

Our love for dogs cannot be quantified, and it's that same love that propelled my family & I to create and run www.waggyresort.com, a small doggy boarding daycare out of our home for 8 years & now www.waggyrescue.com

However, despite our love for shelteringr pups, there is a thin line to what we can achieve, and staying within the confines of federal and state laws as to how much we can do without expanding & creating Waggy Rescue into a non-profit dog shelter. The story of Tammie Hedges comes to mind in this regards. Well, Tammie Hedges is the owner of a non-profit shelter, who was arrested for opening an unlicensed animal shelter for more than two dozen animals during hurricane Florence.

This is where our desire to expand our grounds and our accreditation comes into play. We want to meet all the standards needed to run a nonprofit animal shelter, and for 8 years we've been doing it on our own, but now it's the time to expand and take our services to a whole new level. It is, for this reason, we started a Crowdfunding campaign (LINK HERE) to meet our targets. This campaign is vital not just to us but most especially to the dogs, pups and puppies we cayter for on a daily basis.

For us, failure is not an option, and it is not something we consider because we know we would meet the target with your help. Meeting this goal would guarantee a shelter. We have already have a few spots that are ready to be leased that would be perfect for our business model.
