Surgery Deferred Advised To See An Oncologist

Update posted by Ma Antonia Fatima Jereza

June 27,2018 i was admitted at ViSSMC Hospital for a lobectomy ( in layman's term- removal of part of a lung. In my case the upper lobe of my right lung). I was confined for three days but just a day before surgery i was told that i was not cleared. The lung specialist in VSSMC found two little nodules in my lower lobe of my right lung. The size is just too minute for a biopsy. And my lung function test results showed- if they remove other parts of my lung aside from the main mass, i will have difficulty breathing after the operation. Doctor referred me to see

an oncologist.

This pic was taken in an ambulance. I was wheeled from VSSMC to another hospital to undergo a 4D Ct scan.

I decided to make a"Peace" sign and smiled to lighten the mood.
