Needs help for surgery to remove malignant lump in my right lung.

Update posted by Ma Antonia Fatima Jereza On Aug 08, 2018

I was a bit anxious about my first chemo cycle, the first of four cycles I have to undergo before radiation therapy. It was a long day at the hospital but it went pretty well. The first three days after the treatment, I began to feel the side effects of the medication. Body aches and pains plus a bit of diarrhea on the side. I am still thankful that the effects were minimal and after a week I could already go out to do some errands. Next cycle will be on Aug. 16 and two more on Sept. after which I will be resting for a month before my radiation therapy begins. It is still a long way but with Gods grace I am on my way to healing.

Saw the oncologist yesterday and I am advised to undergo chemotherapy as well as radiation at the same time. I will not be able to go to work and have to resign. I would need four cycles of chemo and 16 to 20 possible cycles of radiation. Assistance maybe available from generous and kind individuals plus government agencies but as I am unable to work, there will be no source of income during my treatment thus the campaign is still ongoing. Thank you for your continued support and prayers. God bless us all.

June 27,2018 i was admitted at ViSSMC Hospital for a lobectomy ( in layman's term- removal of part of a lung. In my case the upper lobe of my right lung). I was confined for three days but just a day before surgery i was told that i was not cleared. The lung specialist in VSSMC found two little nodules in my lower lobe of my right lung. The size is just too minute for a biopsy. And my lung function test results showed- if they remove other parts of my lung aside from the main mass, i will have difficulty breathing after the operation. Doctor referred me to see

an oncologist.

This pic was taken in an ambulance. I was wheeled from VSSMC to another hospital to undergo a 4D Ct scan.

I decided to make a"Peace" sign and smiled to lighten the mood.
