Fly High, Jack Damien

Update posted by Angela Sta Cruz

Hello everyone. I don't know how to start this post to be honest.

This morning I received an email from Gogetfunding telling me that a certain Hye Sung Kang (kang321@yahoodotcom) messaged me through them and said "pssst...diba patay na pasyente mo?" (Pssst...isn't your patient dead?)*. I don't know who this person is. He/she is probably a friend or friend of a friend on Facebook which is where I first posted the news that baby Jack Damien finally succumbed to infection and complications due to his prematurity and joined his Creator on March 8 2018 at 1508.

*This message was a bit insensitive and made me feel a bit angry because there wasn't even a hint of sympathy or condolence so whoever you are yes you are right and if you can't help us just get lost please.

It was very heartbreaking. Jack's cause of death was septicemia. He also had pneumonia, NEC, retinopathy of prematurity, and possible congenital heart disease.

Had he survived after resucitation, his quality of life would definitely be compromised. His passing took us by surprise because he seemed to be doing fine until the other complications started rearing their ugly heads out.

He fought well. With everyone's support and everyone fighting with him.

Jack was cremated on Monday March 12 7AM at St Peter's and his remains were brought home for the mean time.

There will be a vigil and post crematory service for him over the coming weekend. For details please see my Facebook post/s which are only viewable if you are my friend. This is also for security and privacy of the bereaved.

Thank you for everyone who has helped us by donating here and also offline. We still have about 300k to settle with Marikina Valley and 150k to settle with NCH.

So donations are still open even after Jack's passing.

We will update the campaign description soon if the site allows us to.

Please pray for our beloved angel.

Jack Damien
