Story

In our line of work we see a whole array of different patients. Some of whom are very unwell children and young people, who suffer from a range of life limiting illnesses.

This has led one local Paramedic to begin the start up of his own charity, Wings2fly.

Every year, the first weekend in August will now see an annual pull, in order to collect money to help these Children and young people!

The challenge...

During the summer of 2018, Paramedics and Ambulance Staff are going to be PULLING AN AMBULANCE (A total distance of 2.2 miles, in FULL KIT!!!) To help raise money, with all of the proceeds going to Wings2fly.


On the date yet to be finalised, we will begin at 10:30am and hope to arrive at our destination between 11:30 - 12:00 noon. Just in time for lunch and much needed rehydration.


There will be staff pulling the ambulance, as well as staff walking along side with collection buckets, offering medical support, just in case.


So please dig deep into your pockets to help support such an amazing venture, in helping Wings2fly get off the ground! Feel free to come down and give us some support on the day....and also to watch us struggle, on the beach and in the heat!!!
