Dear ones, I am sorry to break the sad news that the treatment is not working for Ann. Her white blood cell count (wbc) has continued to increase and now in the 45. To reduce this, she must be put on hydroxyurea but that means she is out of the protocol. And she is now out of it. She will be treated here until it is safe for her to leave - for home or for any protocol in which she may be qualified. Presently, there is no such protocol at NIH.
