Like life is not hard enough.

At Nic's request we gathered all the children. We had just fetched my youngest son from the airport's drop and go and were on our way to Muizenburg for a family get together. Nic's son was travelling behind me and as he is super cautious I knew he would warn me if there was some danger looming so I felt quite safe. (I have not driven for 13 years as Nic did all the driving but for a drive here or there every three months or so and it was not in traffic). So I was just getting my confidence back. We were not even out of the Airport boundaries when I was hit on the side of the car by an Audi travelling at high speed, the Audi lost control, regained it and carried on driving up the road. I pulled onto the side of the road and stopped. Nic and my son proceeded to get out of the car when we were hit a second time, this time much harder and the car moved forward flinging Nic and my son out of the car. The Bakkie rolled and I saw the 4 occupants in the back of the bakkie flying in the air across the highway and landing at the side of the road. The bakkie came to a standstill on its side. I could not get out of the car as my door would not open, and was full of glass as all the windows shattered. I could see Nic but he was not moving.I was beside myself with panic.

We were both taken to hospital but are both okay. The car is not, and I've only just replaced it from the last accident.

I cannot help to think, what are the chances of both vehicles slamming into us? It turned out that the Audi had been hijacked. I think the bakkie was involved somehow also, since who sits in a rolled bakkie cab on it's side and checks their gun that fell out of it's holster in the accident. He was looking at the two scratches on his Colt .45. Now that is just weird behaviour. My son got impatient with him and left to see how Nic was.(He went to see if he could help them in any way and if they were injured).

I am trying to stop from asking why, but its not something I can help anymore.
