A Mother's Heart

Update posted by Joanne Sendon Palad

Sky, like any other babies, cry whenever she's hungry, needs a nappy change or in pain. And we, being not yet used to seeing her color's drastic change, really panic in fear. I'm not sure if we'll ever get used to it. I just know that this whole experience will make us more resilient.

During our first weeks at the NICU, ventilator tube, IV lines and glucose test pricks break our hearts already. But now, we are just happy she's alive and we want nothing more but for Sky to feel better and not experience any more hardships than she already have. And even though I want Sky to be weaned off of her oxygen support completely, I want it to happen at her own pace, whenever she's ready.

Today, I just cherish every hug, every latch and her every little milestones each passing day.

Jesus is our Ram, the one who died for Sky so she won't have to live sick and in pain!
