Hello Deer Friends!

We wanted to send an update about our project. As some of you may know our bill was passed over in one session, stalled in another and we are waiting once again to have our opportunity to be heard. This along with the death of Trooper's human daddy and caretaker Andy, delayed our progress. Our hearts were and are still broken. He was a gentle soul and one of a kind. The animals needs extra care for quite some time. They knew he was gone and they also suffered from the loss. They feel just like we do, as you know.

Because of the delays getting our bill assigned to a committee, as well as the loss of Andy, our documentary naturally also had to be delayed. We needed some time to grieve and regroup. We've discussed it and we all agree that we are ready now.

The production team has called out many favors and because of this the documentary can be made for much less money. We have decided to promote our fundraising efforts in stages. We will have the film crew come to Ohio in May for the first round of interviews and to catch some footage of the newborn deer that will be "arriving". We'll raise the money as we go, for each step of the production. If we are able to raise the entire funds sooner, that won't be a bad thing, at all. We will be able to use any additional funds for rescue and rehab.

Thank you all so much for being our support system. We appreciate your love, support, patience and encouragement while we were stalled in our efforts and when we lost sweet Andy. With spring here and the babies coming, we've got to get moving!
