A man came into the cafe a few days ago, he had the biggest smile on his face and was probably the most friendly person I've ever come across.. Turns out he was a missionary for a year in Uganda 25 years ago. As the conversation continued he found out about my volunteer trip to Kenya next summer and gave me tips and pointers. 
As he left he handed me a 10$ bill and said this is for your trip, after only buying a coffee. 
Now to you it may just be an old 10$ bill and to my American friends it looks like Monopoly money. 
But to me it was a sweet reminder of the amazing people there are in this world and the beginning to a lot of work and long journey to my trip.
