Hi everyone,

I am very sad to have to announce that the US Luge training camp scheduled to take place in Norway on November 22 has been cancelled.  This came as a complete surprise and I know there are plenty of people on the Luge team, myself included, who are very disappointed! We weren't given a specific reason for the cancellation and we've not been told if there are any plans to hold the trip in future.

As you know I originally set up this page to raise money to help with the trip to Norway, and you have all been very generous with your donations. In total your generosity raised $1,375 online and $2,600 offline. Thank you!!!

We will be contacting you each soon to give you the option of a refund because I know some of you really wanted to help specifically with the training trip to Norway.

Of course, if any of you wish your donation to go towards my general luge costs, I will be very happy to accept them!  It is going to be a relatively expensive schedule over the next few months.

My commitment to Luge remains the same, and I am now focusing on the Junior World Cup which takes place in Park City, Utah, from December 11 to December 16. There are two qualifying races for the 'Youth A' category - one on November 20 in Lake Placid and one on December 7 in Park City. There are 11 girls competing for 4 spots on the team. Most of those 11 girls are more experienced 'C' team members so the odds are against me qualifying, but I'll be giving it my best shot.

As a reminder, here's my rough schedule through the end of this year into the start of next year:
* Lake Placid from Nov 2 - Nov 22,
* Park City, Utah from Nov 30 - Dec 10. If I qualify for the Junior World Cup I'll stay through Dec 16.
* Lake Placid from Jan 18 - Feb 8 for the Empire State Games,
* Park City from Feb 15 - March 1 for the Youth Nationals,
* Lake Placid from March 8 - March 21
