How can I share our story with you in mere words on a page?  I wish I could sit in front of you and tell you how he makes me laugh.  I wish I could show you the light in his eyes, full of love.  I wish you could see the fascinating series of events that led to the two of us, preparing for a wedding.  A marriage.  I wish I could share with you the way his love for me drives closer to Jesus and how our relationship is a testimony in and of itself over a cup of hot chocolate.  Instead I will choose to use my limited space to give you snapshots of why I'm here.

We're getting married!

That's right!  This August we will celebrate the beautiful love we have and share with our families and friends.  We're excited to plan not just a wedding, but a marriage, and we want to begin it all with being wise with our money.

It's expensive...

We don't want a grand wedding.  we simply want our families and close friends to be there on the day that means the most to us, just as they have been there all along.  Being wise with our money is most important to us, and we won't be going into debt for just one day.  I am finishing up my Masters degree, and out of state tuition isn't cheap.  We don't need to be spending money left and right.

Why are you here?

If you've made it this far, you understand why I'm here.  But what about you?  I don't know if you're here because you want more details on our story (see below!).  Or maybe our stage in life resonates with you somehow.  Or maybe you have the ability to give to us.  No matter what the case, we are grateful.  We pray daily that our relationship would glorify our Lord and Savior, and hope somehow we've reached you.

But you promised a story!

I did!  After a wonderful Valentine's day full of schoolwork (not the wonderful part), a dozen roses (the first thing he'd ever given me), ChickfilA, ice skating, and secretly making chocolate covered strawberries as a gift, I was waiting for his text telling me it was okay to come over to his apartment.  When I arrived, the candles were lit all around, soft music was playing, and a beauitiful bouquet of carnations (my favorite) were on the elegantly set table.  We enjoyed the dinner he made himself (very delicious!), and some sparkling peach juice, and a chick flick.  When the movie was over, we exchanged some small gifts, and as we finished, he said he had one more.  He got down on one knee, and told me how much he loved me.  I was so excited and nervous, I said yes before he even asked a question!  Thankfully he was just as excited and nervous and didn't hear me!  He asked me to marry him, and of course I said yes.  He slid the ring on my hand, and a moment later we shared our very first kiss.  I could not love that man any more than I do, and yet, by the time you finish this sentence, I love him even more.
