My 30th, the launch of my annual birthday campaign: Birthed-2-Serve. A ministry that focuses on celebrating my birthday by serving others. This year, my focus is on serving Survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Living as a survivor of GBV can be a lonely and terrifying journey; and as a survivor myself, therapy plays an integral part in my healing process and general mental health. Unfortunately, there are too many women and children who can not afford it, or other interventions that help deal with the trauma, because it is just too expensive. I was blessed enough to have loved ones pay for me when I needed it the most.
I'd love to do the same.
I will be gifting a financial love offering to the Family Life Centre (FamSA), an NPO that provides therapeutic services and interventions to individuals and families that need the support.
If you are able to, may I please request that you join me by donating an amount of your choice?🙏🏿
To my family and friends who have been asking " What must I get you?" I finally have the answer: your donation. Instead of buying me a birthday gift, please redirect that money to this campaign. There is a greater need here 😊.
You can make donations till the 8th of January 2021 or until we meet (or exceed) our target, if that's sooner, then Yay😁!
To FamSA, thank you for all the work you do- thank you for lighting my way, in my darkest moment.
To a survivor, reading this: I pray for your peace. May you one day experience a peace that surpasses all understanding. You are not alone.
To every donor, I appreciate you with all my heart! May God bless your seed.
If you would like more information or to support the work FamSA is doing to support survivors of GBV and their communities, please visit their Facebook page-The Family Life Centre, visit www.familylife.co.za, or call them on 011 788 4784
