Bibles for Young Inmates in India

Thank you for taking the time to visit this fundraising site. My name is Lynn Sheldon, President of GodFire Revival and Disicpleship Outreach in the Jackson, MS area (USA).  We are a 501 (c)3 ministry serving believers with studies to help train teachers for Christ. We have worked several years in India, building our Christian Academy of LIFE Leaders or CALL training schools under our GodFire Schools of Discipleship Outreach (GSDO) in India. To date, we have trained over 3,800 young men and women through our CALL schools. Our schools last ten weeks. This 50 hour course includes lectures, studies, testing, outreach and debate.  Recently, a miracle happened. God opened a door to take our Christian CALL schools within the four walls of several Hindu jails and prisons. Our National Director, Dr. John Ratnam, was very surprised that an official over the prisons asked him to take our Christian CALL school training inside the prison walls.  Dr. Ratnam invited twenty-eight pastors to help with this task. They are using our studies to train another 2,100 young men who are serving prison time.  The results have been wonderful.  The young men are finding hope. Many are coming to the Lord. All are wanting Bibles. The problem is we don't have the funding to provide 2,100 Bibles. We have raised enough money to support 28 teachers travel and food and to buy 350 Bibles, but we need to purchase 1850 more before May 15, 2014. On May 20, due to recent elections, an anti-Christian government takes over in that area, which will serve to shut down our outreach to the young men. Will you please consider donating to us?
