Campaign Story
My name is Seithati Matena
A 22 year old single mother with a 10month old baby girl whose father left the same day my baby girl was born.
I am a South African girl based in the Province of Gauteng, in a small town called Vanderbijlpark.
In my teenage years I too let myself fall prey to the wild life of partying and rebellion, dropped out of school and moved in with my boyfriend.
I guess I thought we'd be together riding on the chariot of late night parties and cheap booze forever
I fell pregnant and had my baby girl in July last year, after my baby was born my boyfriend came in to see her, gave her back to me and that was the last time I ever saw him again
A school dropout with an infant to feed, and essentials to get on a monthly basis, I see now how the choices I made back then are and will always harden not only my life but my baby's life as well
I see now that the best thing I can do for her is go back to to school so I might get a decent job that I may be able to provide for her everyday needs
Please help me rectify my wrongs that they may not put an innocent child through suffering for my ignorance
