Bethany Sri Lanka fund!

So as all of you know I have been offered a place on the SLV team as a volunteer in Sri Lanka for 4 weeks in the summer of 2015 (15th July – 13th August). I will be teaching Performing Arts and English to children with learning difficulties, I feel this is something that I will benefit from greatly and I will also be able to use my skills and training that I have to help others. I want to pass on my love for performing arts to those less fortunate and give them something to make their days brighter and happier.  

SLV is an organisation that provides students & graduates with work-experience in teaching, working with children, people with special needs and in the mental-health sector. I feel that SLV provides something great for people like me, but the one thing that is standing in the way at the moment is the funding. It is a course that I have to fund myself; I have to find funding for the following:

• Flights
• Insurance
• Visa
• Course Payment

This all roughly comes to £1600 which is money I don’t have, I have already managed to pay my deposit but the next thing I need to secure are my flights. Any help will be amazing. I plan to also organise a fundraiser event in the New Year to help with the funding but I thought setting up a page like this may help also.
