new hemp farm has started up in southern Belize with the intention of
creating meaningful jobs and supporting local indigenous farmers earn
not only a steady paycheck during this current covid-19 pandemic, but
to also make beneficial options available including profit sharing
that is accessible to all workers plus the opening up our farm land
and hemp license for those who wish to get in on the ground floor of
this emerging billion dollar industry, even with a no money buy in
option!

NO MONEY REQUIRED
FOR BELIZEANS!!!
When Belize passed the new hemp regulations in November, 2019, the government didn't make it easy for the average farmer or person to get involve. The laws were made exclusively for large, industrial mega corporations, and the rich friends of the corrupt government in power.
The average farmer & person has been completely forgotten & left out by the Belize Government
We intend to bring the beautiful indigenous cultures of Belize together while making available use of our approved hemp license, which is becoming even more difficult and expensive to obtain, plus opening up some of our approved farm land for affordable leasing options to those that can't afford to get their own field approved according to the strict Belize regulations.
Those who can't afford our low-cost leasing options (basically the leasing options offered are just to cover our costs, seeds, etc.) , we also have an avenue for them to get involved for no money with their own hemp plot on our farm in exchange for work study and a % of their crop after harvest. This will be limited by available acreag currently available, and on a first come, first served basis.
It's a win win for all!
Our intention is anyone who wants in on this industry, would be able to use our license and field to raise enough money for themselves, basically a stepping stone, and then, for them to create their own hemp farm on their land and become independent.
Everyone in Belize now has the option that will help them get into this rapidly emerging multi-billion dollar new industry!
We will supply the training needed, plus make available access to legal hemp seed strands and feminized clones for CBDs and CBGs, use of one of our grow houses and supply up to 1 acre to start growing along with processing options.
We can also put them in touch with master growers, harvesters and other farm workers in addition to distillation/extraction services if they wish. They will be able to sell their hemp and/or hemp products through our established channels or their own.
So finally, the Indigenous peoples of Belize have everything to gain and nothing to lose!
Additionally, we will be giving back 5% of all profits to the local indigenous villages tribal village councils and offer educational scholarships plus free food pantry items as our harvests and profits increase.
With
the tremendous amount of diabetes and other ailments many Belizean's
suffer from, especially our Elders, we are very happy about making
our CBD products available in Belize! Many can't afford proper
medical treatments and after each production run we will be making
some CBD products available for free, particularly to the Elders. We
will keep our retail costs as low as possible so others may
experience and feel the same relief that one of our co-founders has
already experienced first hand.
OUR STORY
The idea for this model hemp farm started out in southern Belize almost 20 years ago when several multi-cultural Belize friends got together around a fire hearth for a BBQ, with the intention of growing, harvesting & processing hemp plants while making sure it would also serve the community. And they dreamed big.
One of those at this gathering, and one of our co-founders, was born with several physical birth defects and had just heard about another type of cannabis that might ease his almost constant pain which he had been enduring for most of his life. At that time very limited information was available regarding hemp CBD's, so more research was needed.
He traveled up to the States and was fortunate to meet a pioneer hemp farmer specializing in 3 strains of CBDs with low THC levels who also told him of a different cannabinoid called CBG, both of which would be helpful to ease his pains and sufferings. After using these cannabinoids for a short time, he noticed not only pain relief, but also anti-inflammatory properties that enabled him to be fully active after several years of barely being able to walk.
This
truly encouraged him and he traveled back to Belize with new found
hope. He freely shared this information with anyone who would listen,
especially among the same friends who were at that gathering so long
ago, around a fire hearth at the edge of the jungle.
And that sparked renewed interest among those who had discussed this same topic many years before.
2 years prior to Belize legalizing hemp in November 2019, we were already doing our due diligence in anticipation that some day, new laws would be passed that would finally allow the growing, harvesting, processing and using medical & industry hemp.
That day has finally arrived!
We are 100% Belizean owned & operated, with no ties to any large cooperation or foreign interest. We are focused on helping the indigenous of Belize, including Mayan, Garifuna, East Indian, Kriol & Mestizo cultures, as not only are they are our families, they are our cultures and heritage, in addition to being our friends and neighbors.

Over
the decades, the co-founders at Big D's Organics have been blessed to
have among our long term friends, several Q'eqchi’ (Kek Chi) &
Mopan Mayan growers, with families that includes 2nd & 3rd
generation farmers in the same district as our hemp farm.
The Maya were among the many elder races who incorporated cannabis for both medicine & industrial purposes, in additional for spiritual ceremonies
• Cannabis
was part of their culture & used as an entheogen in spiritual &
religious rituals
• The Mayans grew very large cannabis farms that were previously mistaken as pyramids
• Vast Evidence in ancient Mayan art shows cannabis use
It is from these same Mayan farmers that we are drawing on their vast agricultural experience & we can call on numerous growers as our Advisors, in addition to being our close neighbors & most importantly, our long time friends.
OUR FARM
Our farm is 100% organic, utilizing permaculture and all natural, sustainable agricultural methods to ensure the highest quality Hemp CBD /CBG products available.
• We have over 100 acres for hemp field #1, with another 200+ acres available on our farm with year round, clean water
• BAHA approved Hemp field ready with 15+ acres cleared and ready to start planting
• Belize Hemp Permit acquired July 2020
• Belize Transport Permit (Hemp & Seeds) acquired October 2020
• First 20 x 40’ nursery / shade / grow room constructed
• First 5000 Hemp CBD seeds ordered
• Acquired basic farm equipment, generator, solar panels, drip irrigation, etc.
• Identified buyers in Belize, Jamaica & Honduras for bulk flowers & essential oils
• Contracted with a startup distillery for expressions, ethanol & steam extractions
• Land has been previously bush hogged (November 2020) & ready
• Land has been dormant for almost 4 years, thus meeting the requirements for organic standards
• We intend to cultivate, harvest, dry/cure and process bulk flowers, bulk industrial hemp & extract crude/essential oils, shatter & rosin
• We will make available our own branded CBD product line including essential oils, topical balms & salves, vape pens, refill cartridges, ingestibles & pre-rolls
• We are working closely with local “Granny Healers”, “Bush Doctors” & licensed Medical Doctors in Belize to have them start adding our hemp CDB’s to medicines that they prescribe for their patients
Progress is still moving forward, but we need your help to help others!
OUR NEED$
We are seeking funds to help get back up to speed what the co-founders have been financing completely out of pocket as an grass roots venture.
With the pandemic limiting the job market, the co-founders have also lost their outside jobs which they were using their paychecks to fund this hemp farm, so for now, we are unable to continue to grow at the rate we wish to.
Progress is still continuing, although at a much slower pace than we anticipated. We are asked about giving jobs daily by the indigenous villagers, but sadly, can only afford a few part time workers now because of the hit we've taken due to covid-19
100% of all received funds will be used exclusively to keep this project grass roots and moving forward!
Before the start of dry season, we need:
•To hire more indigenous workers
•To start building two more green houses
•To buy and import the 2nd strain of CBD Hemp
•To buy and import the first strain of CBG Hemp
•To purchase fiber grow bags
•To expand our hydroponics
•To obtain more farm equipment (industrial water pumps/hoses, tractor accessories, etc.)
•To obtain long lasting, environmentally friendly batteries for our solar system
•To buy an empty shipping container, delivered and pour reinforced footers
