Be The Change

Hi! My name is Nakita, I am currently a grade 11 student in Canada. And in the summer of 2014 I plan to change lives. I am currently planning on participating in a volunteer program with Projects Abroad, on a trip to Africa. My abition for this adventure stems from my passion to travel and help others achieve the happiness they deserve, but cannot attain by themselves. This trip is just the tip to what I plan on doing throughout the coarse of the rest of my life. I plan on attending the University of Alberta in the fall of 2014 to pursure my the vision I have for the future of third world countries, studying Global and Community Development. I believe that everyone around the world has the right to be happy, and be able to lead prosporus, succssful lives. As quoted by John Lennon “When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.” This voyage will not only change my life, but the pople who I will be able to help now, and the many in my future endevours. Help me and my cause to change the world, and be the change you want to see in the world.
