UPDATE

We are going to Wales this Friday to begin prepping for our shoot! Due to your contributions we have managed to find a beautiful location in the stunning rolling hills of North Wales! Any further donations is still appreciated as we now need to get out cast to Wales! We will keep you updated as the shoot progresses!

We are raising money for our graduation film Be Fruitful and Multiply! The film is a dark comedy thriller but also a provocative commentary on a woman’s place in the world in relation to motherhood. It deals with themes of womanhood, fertility, family tradition and matriarchy under a patriarchy. With elements of witchcraft weaved into this magical realist tale, this project has the potential to be exciting, awe-inspiring and contemporary!

What's the film about?

Be Fruitful and Multiplyis a graduation short film shot by students from Westminster Film School.

Alice does not want children. She knows it, her boyfriend Miles knows it, and everyone of her family and friends do too. Yet on the cusp of her 30th birthday, she can feel the pressures mounting more than ever. An escape to the country seems to be exactly what she needs to get away from it all, but when Miles secretly invites her mother along as a surprise, Alice quickly learns just how desperate those around her are for her to become a parent.

Exploring the pressures and anxieties of motherhood, this darkly comedic thriller is a timely examination of the female body and its place in society – along with the entitlement that other people can claim over it.
