The Balinese island's main volcano, Mount Agung, threatens to erupt at any time. Due to the devastation of the 1963 eruption in Bali, evacuation efforts have been made to save families. The conditions of the temporary shelter facilities are dire and in shortage of everything. People have had to abandon their land and sell off their livestock at minimal rates due to the imminent threat of destruction.
The sheltering conditions in Bali's evacuation centres are in desperate need of food and supplies. Evacuation centres are filling up, with concerns of resources running out, Emergency authorities in Bali are struggling to provide enough clean water and amenities for thousands of evacuees from villages close to the Mount Agung volcano.
Born and raised in Indonesia it is very upsetting for me to see the dire conditions of the shelter’s in Bali especially for the farmer’s whom have lost everything and have no money.
I would be going to Bali on the 8th of december to help out the shelters and provide food, water and other daily necessities for the people of Bali.
$1,000 USD would be able to help purchase tons of food and water for the people in need.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated no matter how big or small it is.
