Baking for a cause, helping our staff in need

Dear Supporters,

Your amazing contributions to our fundraising in August 2020 secured food on the table for 4 families over the last 7 months. The gratitude of every single contribution is hard to express in words. Without all of you this would not be possible.

Unfortunately the situation is not getting any better. We are still a business without any income. In South Africa there is no safety net like home, and without any help Ivy, Vicky, Khaya and Masi have an extremely uncertain time ahead.

We are continuously looking for different solutions, but we are now at a crossroad where ends no longer meet. We will go back to Norway to work in order to secure the future for Søvn.

Our goal is for Viky, Ivy, Masi and Khaya to have jobs to come back to when the pandemic is over. We do see the light in the end of the tunnel, but to get there, we ask for your help once more. Any contribution will make a massive difference.

An example on what a donation would cover for a family of 6 people:

R500 Electricity and water for 1 month

R1000 Food for 1 week

R2000 Food for 2 weeks

R4000 All basic needs covered for 1 month

Every contribution will give access to a virtual baking class hosted by Jo where you’ll learn to make her amazing cinnamon buns. An online link will be sent once the fundraiser is finalized.
