As you all probably know by now, Three Counties Sabs are based right in the middle of the Gloucestershire badger cull zone. During the cull, we will have at least 3 vehicles out a night in different areas, sometimes up to 7 separate vehicles all funded by 3C. In the run-up to the cull, we will be sett-surveying and checking setts, raising awareness in the local communities, organising meetings and so on. Additionally, the cull for the previous 2 years has taken place during the fox-hunting season, so we have both tried to get out to the hunts as many times as possible during the cull as well as moving immediately on to the sabotage and monitoring of these hunts as soon as the cull comes to an end. This means hundreds of days out every single year, plus all the admin, fundraising and so on.
In the last 2 years, we would not have been able to do so much without the help of our supporters donating, sharing our messages and appeals and sabbing reports and helping to spread the word for us. Sett-surveying continues at the moment, along with the organisation of "Introduction days" for new people into the cull zone, plus skill-sharing days. That is a lot of fuel (but it's certainly worth it, in our opinion!)
Please check out our videos and sabbing reports if you don't know much about us and see if you think we're worth helping out :( either financially or by sharing our links and reports. Thanks in advance and feel free to contact us if you have any questions - [email protected] or via our facebook - we're always willing to have sensible discussions and answer questions.
