Back 2 School: The Hurdle before the Dream

This summer & spring, the New York Film Academy is offering an unprecedented opportunity for sports photographers to hone their skills at the highest level of competition with advanced photography training techniques, while immersing themselves in the world of the New York Jets! 

I think there is no better way to break into the world of sports photography than with this program. Upon completion, participants will have built a strong portfolio with NFL photos, giving them invaluable experience to apply in their photography career. Not only that, one will have developed important, unique contacts with your fellow sports photographers and team professional.

Anyone that knows anything about me would know of how big the dream is, how passionate I am about photography and football, & how much of a dedicated Jets fan I truly am! All I ever talk about is eventually becoming an NFL photographer and finally reach my own personal dream job. This course with the NYFA is like a dream to me. It has right place, right times, written all over!

I don't qualify for financial aid because I have a $18,000+ student debt. This happened during my studies at TCI College. During my final semester, I had a relative pass away. During this particular moment in life, I lost some logic and stopped attending school. Not knowing I was putting myself in a 'unofficial withdrawl' which demands I payback every cent spent on me before I am eligible to attending school again with financial aid help. While I have every intention to pay back this debt and finish college, right now, making half of that money owned is hard.

I've visited the school (NYFA) and have called various times trying to find a loophole that can get me back into school. There is none. I really want to go back to school for this course. It's expensive however and by myself, there is no way possible I can do this in a month (payment is due a week before classes start).

I am hoping I can find 20,000 people willing to donate at least $1 to me so I can do this and for once, live a dream out.

Many will look down on this fund raiser. Many will flame me for it.I'm not paying mind to those people. If youreally knew me, or know me, you know how serious I am about this.

The New York Film Academy has partnered with the New York Jets to offer students an unprecedented opportunity to learn their craft while photographing a professional football team. Depending on the semester of attendance, students will photograph the New York Jets at an actual football game, live practices, media events, OTAs (Official Team Activities), training camp, draft events and other New York Jets activities.

The high-stakes, high-pressure, adrenalin-driven world of sports provides unique opportunities to create unforgettable images of human achievement on a grand scale. Tactics for being at the right place at the right time, for anticipating what's about to happen, and for being technically prepared to get an iconic shot under wildly unpredictable conditions are taught and practiced in depth.
